Nadira Ettahiri’s entrepreneurial journey began with a simple observation: talent was being overlooked, not because it was lacking, but because opportunity was unevenly distributed. Long before diversity and inclusion became part of mainstream business conversations, she recognised that multilingual and multicultural professionals faced structural barriers that had little to do with their abilities.
Driven by this belief, she founded ABTRO and later AVA, two pioneering organisations dedicated to employability, reintegration and workplace wellbeing for multilingual workforces. Over the past 23 years, her work has evolved beyond building successful companies. Today, she is increasingly recognised as a speaker, connector and thought leader, using her platform to create opportunities, influence conversations and open doors for the next generation of leaders.

2003
Nadira began her entrepreneurial journey with a clear vision: creating opportunities where traditional systems left talent behind.
ABTRO
She founded ABTRO, the first Dutch reintegration organisation specialised in supporting multilingual and multicultural professionals on their path back to sustainable employment.
AVA
With AVA, Nadira expanded her mission by creating the first occupational health service in the Netherlands dedicated to multicultural workforces and sustainable employability.
International Recognition
Her work gained international recognition through awards, media features and leadership roles, establishing her as a respected voice on opportunity and inclusive leadership.

Everything Nadira builds is rooted in one conviction: talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not. Throughout her career, she has witnessed how background, language, networks and circumstance can prevent capable people from reaching their full potential. Rather than accepting these barriers, she has dedicated her work to creating pathways that connect talent with opportunity.
